what we keep about you.

the short version

you can use almost everything on this site without making an account. the chat, the journal, the tools, the resources, and reading the wall all work anonymously. we keep no record of you when you do.

you only need an account if you want to publish to the wall, take down something you published, or heart someone else’s post. that account is just an email and a password. nothing else.

what stays on your device

• journal drafts. they live in your browser’s localStorage. they never leave your device unless you tap share with the wall.
• low-stim mode preference. localStorage.

what we send to a server

• chat messages, when you send them to the AI companion. these go to the model provider (Anthropic) for the duration of one response, and are not saved on our side after the reply is done.
• voices you publish to the wall. these are stored, with no name or IP attached to the public version, until you take them down or until we take them down.
• a session cookie (random ID, no PII) so the chat can keep its place across reloads.
• if you have an account, your email and a hashed password. that is all.

what we never do

• we do not sell your data. there is nothing to sell.
• we do not show ads.
• we do not have a tracking pixel, a Facebook pixel, or a Google Analytics account.
• we do not send marketing email. you will not be added to a list you did not ask to be on.
• we do not share your account with anyone.

moderation

when you publish to the wall, an AI classifier reads your post first and decides one of three things: publish it, hold it for a human moderator to look at, or refuse to publish it (because it describes a specific self-harm method, identifying details, or hate). a human only sees a post if the classifier holds it. the classifier’s reasoning is logged so we can keep improving it.

taking things down

you can take down anything you published, any time, from your account page. it disappears from the wall right away. the underlying record is kept for 30 days in case you change your mind, then permanently deleted.

you can also delete your account entirely. email hello@invisibleaid.org and we will do it within 7 days.

kids

this site is built for students 13 and up. we do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 13. if you publish to the wall, we ask you to confirm you are 13 or older.

changes

if we change this in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app and on this page. the date at the top is the last update.
